- Auditing materials through a DEI lens
- Working with clients
- Creating deliverables
- Conducting research and creating well-thought-out briefs on specific topics
- Disability advocacy & issues
- Transgender advocacy & issues
- Latina/o/x advocacy & issues
- Indigenous/Native advocacy & issues
- Social Advocacy
- Working independently & autonomously
We are looking for passion, nuanced understanding, and lived experiences around these topics, but not necessarily super-expertise. Research has shown that some candidates, especially those who are nonwhite and not men, sometimes do not apply to roles unless they feel like they meet all the qualifications. We’re much more interested in building on your strong foundation of DEI/social justice, not ticking boxes on a form.
We are looking for someone who can collaborate well, but also self-direct when needed. Who is organized, open to feedback and can meet deadlines.
We need someone who can manage quick client turnarounds, provide nuanced and detailed deliverables, and be a part of our growing community.
Nova Strategists work with our client partners to advise on DEI strategy and nuance, support tool development and implementation, audit policy/process documents, and help navigate nuanced and complex situations. They do this through relationship building, candid and clear communication, thinking outside the box, and leading collaboration across Nova’s team and the Client team.
We are looking to start this relationship in a contract capacity, with the goal of it becoming a full-time, flexible, remote role that comes with great benefits.
